With this traditional cross beam press you can turn windfall apples and pears into delicious fruit juice. Made from cast iron and beech, you can fit an optional straining bag for smoother liquid.
Simply place the crushed fruit into the press cage and wind down the beech pressure plate and fresh juice will flow into the collecting tray which is then channeled into a container of your choice.
The cage holds 12 litres of chopped fruit which should yield around 4.5 litres of juice. After use simply wash down with clean water and put the straining bag (if used) in the washing machine.
This heavy duty version of the 12 litre press also has a special feature which allows the cross beam to unfasten at one side and pivot outwards. So reloading is faster and eliminates the need to lift off the cross beam and pressure plate at each pressing.
All metal components are finished with an EU food safety compliant polyester coating. The legs are removable and fitting fitting prior to use with bolts supplied.
