The traditional barn cloches of the 1930’s developed by Chase, has been largely superseded by the modern plastic tunnel cloches but they are still an essential element of traditional kitchen gardens. The wire framework is designed to hold 3mm horticultural glass (not supplied) which is held in tension by the wire keeping the whole assembly rigid.
