The Medium Mushroom shown here 3rd from the left measures approximately 200 to 225mm in diameter with a height of around 275 to 325mm. As the Mushroom is crafted from a tree trunk the dimensions may vary slightly from the sizes quoted. In addition to the traditional mushroom shape pictured we can also provide a more pointed toadstool style if preferred, please select the style you want when placing your order.

Larch is noted for its durability and resistance to fungal decay, however being a natural material some cracks will inevitably appear as the timber dries. These radiate out from the centre of the log and are an natural feature, providing a home from insects and wildlife. With the passage of time the exposed areas of cut wood will acquire a silvery grey (mushroom!) colour. This process can be slowed down by the regular application of teak oil or similar wood treatment, but is not essential and simply a matter of personal preference. Positioned in groups of differing sizes under trees they can add character and interest to shady grassy areas. The larger mushrooms make ideal garden seats for children or adults. Super sized mushrooms can be made to special order. All the Larch we buy comes from properly managed forests in the Berwyn Mountains, including FSC Certified sources.
