Using the 'Rotasieve' you can produce a finely sieved compost or soil from your own garden products in a matter of minutes. By rotating the spring-loaded handle you drive paddles, which force the smaller particles through the wire mesh base into a wheelbarrow or container ready for use. The stones and bulky garden debris remain in the top drum to be discarded or thrown back onto the compost heap.
The sieved friable material is ideal for seed trays, potting up plants or spreading as a mulch. It’s especially useful for separating weeds and roots from garden soil after hoeing. It can also be used with bonfire ash (a source of potash) and well-rotted manure. As with all sieves it works best with dry material and with the metal drum no more than half full.
