The wire framework is designed to hold 3mm horticultural glass (not supplied) which is held in tension by the wire keeping the whole assembly rigid. In the unfortunate event of a pane of glass breaking it can be easily replaced at minimal cost. The ends of the barn cloches can be closed with a pane of glass wedged with stakes, as in the photograph.. The high barn cloches featured are in use at the Walled Garden at Tatton Park (National Trust). Each high barn cloche requires 4 sheets of 3mm horticultural glass 12” x 24” for assembly. Glass is not supplied.
